For years we have been discussing the relationship between sleep apnea, high blood pressure and heart disease. Poor sleep and sleep apnea causes tremendous stress on the various systems of the human body, particularly the cardiac system. The American Heart Association is now reporting that there are in fact links between poor quality sleep, sleep apnea and cardiovascular diease.
